WHY TWENDE TRAVEL

I first traveled to Africa in 2015. What began as an opportunity to volunteer abroad gradually became something deeper. Over the past decade, I’ve lived, worked, and traveled extensively across East and Southern Africa — building lasting relationships with guides, lodge owners, and local communities, and spending time far beyond the typical visitor experience.

Twende Travel was created to share that experience in a thoughtful, personal way. Every journey is guided by firsthand knowledge and supported by a close, trusted network of local partners on the ground.

Unlike pre-set itineraries, each trip is built one-on-one around what you want to get out of the experience — whether that’s a seamless, world-class safari, a relaxed coastal escape, or something more personal woven in along the way. Because I’ve lived there, know the people, and speak the local language, I can help shape a journey that feels more intentional, and ultimately more rewarding.

From classic safaris in the Serengeti to gorilla trekking in Uganda, time along the Zanzibar coast, or vineyard stays in South Africa — every journey is shaped with care, and no two are ever the same.
